How do I apply for an HSF job?
From the Employment page, click on the “View Current Job Postings” link. From there, select a position of interest and click on the “Apply Online” button at the bottom of the page. The online job application process will begin. You may want to have details of past employment and education nearby to refer to.
What if I don't have Internet access?
HSF Human Resources has provided a kiosk on the main floor of the HSF building at 500 Ray C. Hunt Drive. In addition, many libraries offer internet access.
When should I expect to hear from HSF Human Resources after
I apply for a job?
You will receive an email notification from HSF acknowledging your application
and it will be reviewed by Human Resources staff. If you do not
hear from us in 30 days, you can assume that the position was filled
or that HSF does not currently have a suitable position for you.
How long is my application active?
Your application is active until the position is filled.
Is there a closing date for jobs posted?
No. Jobs are posted a minimum of 5 business days and remain open
until filled.
How do I apply for more than one available position?
You must submit an online application for each position of interest. The system saves information previously submitted, so you will just need to verify or update your information.
How do I know how much a certain job pays?
Salary levels are determined by qualifications. This information
is confidential. If you are contacted for an interview, a staff
member will be glad to discuss your salary requirements and the
starting salary for the position for which you've applied.
Will my application be considered if I indicate that I do not
want my present employer contacted?
Yes.
I submitted an application to the University of Virginia and/or
UVA Medical Center. Do I need to fill out a separate application
for HSF?
Yes. Since UVA Health Services Foundation is a separate, nonprofit
corporation, we have our own HR department and hiring processes.
Do you require drug screening and criminal background check?
Yes. All employees must pass a drug screening test and criminal background check before they are
hired.
