When should I expect to hear from HSF Human Resources after
I apply for a job?
You will receive a postcard from HSF acknowledging your application
and it will be reviewed by Human Resources staff. If you do not
hear from us in 30 days, you can assume that the position was filled
or that HSF does not currently have a suitable position for you.
How long is my application active?
Your application is active until the job requisition number (Req. #) is filled.
Is there a closing date for jobs posted?
No. Jobs are posted a minimum of 5 business days and remain open
until filled.
How do I apply for more than one available position?
You must submit one application per job position, using the requisition number (Req. #)
listed on the Position Openings page.
How do I add a position to an application that was previously
sent?
Unfortunately, you cannot add a positon to a previously submitted
application. You must submit one application per job opening using
the requisition number (Req. #) listed on the Position Openings page.
How do I know how much a certain job pays?
Salary levels are determined by qualifications. This information
is confidential. If you are contacted for an interview, a staff
member will be glad to discuss your salary requirements and the
starting salary for the position for which you've applied.
Will my application be considered if I indicate that I do not
want my present employer contacted?
Yes.
I submitted an application to the University of Virginia and/or
UVA Medical Center. Do I need to fill out a separate application
for HSF?
Yes. Since UVA Health Services Foundation is a separate, nonprofit
corporation, we have our own HR department and hiring processes.
Do you require drug screening?
Yes. All employees must pass a drug screening test before they are
hired.
